Coordinator: Paola Mutti

The main task of the Department is to ensure the stability and the microbiological safety of food products through a series of activities that involve the implementation of research projects on specific topics, direct assistance to companies through an analysis and consulting service and the preparation of training courses for technicians in the food industry. At the Parma and Angri sites, the Microbiology Department collaborates with the other departments so as to be able to tackle the various issues with an integrated approach.
