This area deals with communication and spreading of knowledge, which are mainly performed through:

  • national and international external relations
  • relations with the press
  • participation in conferences and trade fairs on food and nutrition
  • drawing up of detailed reports on conferences, trade fairs and conventions
  • collaboration with associations, research bodies, institutions active in the field of food science and technology
  • participation in national and international projects
  • the website, the newsletter
  • the historic “Industria Conserve” journal, a dual language periodical that has been published since 1925 uninterruptedly
  • collection and processing of historical and technical-scientific documentation concerning SSICA activities over the years
  • series of technological monographs to be used mainly by Companies’ qualified technical staff
  • publication of the annual report, leaflets and brochures
  • the management of the library, a user-friendly centre to gather information and to consult paper and on-line journals, databases.
